In consideration for our health, safety and welfare, the Court of Common Pleas authorized the establishment of the Sandusky County Sewer District in 1993. The district's purpose is to provide sanitary service for its residential and commercial areas. The court approved sewer district boundaries in priority phases of IA, IB, II, III, and IV.

As defined by the Ohio Revised Code, the district is an autonomous body. This basically means that the districts three (3) member board has total authority and responsibility for its function and operation. The sewer board members serve only at the discretion of the Sandusky Township Trustees who appoint, reappoint, or replace them to staggered three (3) year terms.

For up-to-date information on the Sandusky Township Sewer District, please attend their monthly meeting held on the 1st Wednesday of each month at 6:00 PM.  Meetings are held at Sandusky Township Hall, 2207 Oak Harbor Road, Fremont, Ohio 43420.
